Description

The ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 2.5–15×50 is a versatile riflescope for hunting and sports, and features a 30 mm tube diameter. The premium optics are equipped with the innovative BDC illuminated reticle, which is located in the second focal plane and therefore does not increase in size with the zoom level. The reticle on the ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 2.5–15×50 riflescope can be easily adjusted with MRAD – i.e. 1 click = 1 cm at 100 metres. This means that you do not need to do any calculations with the MOA (minute of angle) system. As a durable and premium riflescope, the ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 2.5–15×50 is also waterproof and recoil-proof.

Short & Crisp

  • Universal riflescope with innovative BDC illuminated reticle
  • Suitable for hunting or sports
  • Zoom with FluoDigits technology (fluorescent zoom digits)
  • Innovative, premium coating for crystal-clear, razor-sharp images
  • Innovative SmartDot technology saves energy and time
  • Reticle in the second focal plane
  • Reticle adjustment with MRAD
  • Waterproof and recoil-proof

Zoom with FluoDigits technology

The zoom ring features a comfortable grooved design, and can be moved effortlessly with a small knob. Another highlight is the FluoDigits technology, which is particularly useful in low-light conditions and for use with attachments. The fluorescent zoom numbers display the zoom level discreetly during twilight without revealing your location – with a battery life of at least 5 hours.

Coating

The riflescope features an innovative and premium coating, which produces clear and razor-sharp images.

Innovative SmartDot Technology

Made in Germany
The innovative SmartDot system automatically switches the illuminated reticle on and off to reduce battery consumption and save you valuable time. This works via a tilt sensor: when you move the rifle to a shooting/idle position, the light point switches on/off automatically. The light unit is located on the left side of the tube together with the parallax compensation to ensure that the riflescope is always ready for action. As you’d expect from a riflescope, the ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 2.5–15×50 also comes with a zero stop function.

Weatherproof and recoil-proof

Thanks to the premium ALPEN optics, the riflescope is also suitable for use in adverse weather conditions. It is waterproof to up to 3 metres (IPX7), and can therefore withstand strong rain, snow, fog or even a short spell in a stream. The sturdy housing provides a reliable seal and prevents liquid from getting inside the optics. In addition, the optics are filled with nitrogen to prevent the lens from fogging up and obstructing your view in the event of abrupt changes in temperature. As a premium riflescope, the ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 2.5–15×50 is recoil-resistant up to 1000 grams (equivalent to a Magnum caliber).

MOA and MRAD Differences

The MOA and MRAD turrent systems refer to two different measurement systems: metric and imperial. The Metric and the Imperial. Thus, the imperial system uses MOA and inches, and the metric system uses MRAD and centimeters. Therefore, at some point the question arises which turrent system is the better one. First and foremost, it's a matter of habit and personal preference.

MOA

MOA stands for Minute Of Angle and corresponds to 1 / 60 of a degree. The system is suitable for those familiar with the imperial system, since it is calculated in inches. 1 MOA is equivalent to 1.047'' at 100 yd (2.9 cm at 100 m).

MRAD

MRAD stands for milliradian and is 1 / 1000 of a radian (angular measure). 0.1 MRAD / MIL is equivalent to 1 cm at 100 m and is suitable for those using the metric system. One advantage of the metric system is, that it is very easy to calculate. The shooting distance (unit meter) can be quickly converted into the unit of turret adjustment (centimeter). One click of an MRAD click adjustment thus corresponds to 3 cm (0.03 m) at a firing distance of 300 m. ALPEN Optics uses MRAD 0.1 click adjustments for all riflescopes.

FEATURES

Deluxe Warranty

Good prospects for frequent observers - with ALPEN's extended guarantee - More information

Parallax compensation for perfect positioning

Simply set the parallax compensation to the desired range and the position of the reticle will remain the same. This is particularly useful if you look into the eyepiece at a slight angle, as the reticle will stay locked on your target.

More light for clearer images

The optics are fully coated with a premium multi-layer coating, which increases the light transmission to up to 95% to produce stunningly bright images.

Always spot on

Thanks to the innovative SmartDot technology with a built-in tilt sensor, the light spot switches on and off automatically based on the position of the rifle. This saves you valuable time and prevents the battery from draining.

Keep track of the zoom level

Fluorescent zoom numbers on the eyepiece – the innovative FluoDigits technology displays the zoom level discreetly in low-light conditions so that you don’t reveal your location. Perfect for attachments!

Brighter images

The ultra-bright coating lets even more light into your eyes so that you won’t be left in the dark in challenging light conditions.

Detailed, high-resolution images

Ideal for hiking, hunting and trekking – the high-definition optics produce an outstanding image in all types of conditions. The surroundings are rendered in high resolution and stunning detail. In addition, the high-performance HD glass has a very high light transmission, and produces bright images even in adverse weather and light conditions.

Second focal plane (SFP) reticle

The reticle is located in the second focal plane, and therefore does not increase in size when you zoom in. As a result, the subtension depends on the zoom level.

Waterproof design

The housing features a splashproof design, which protects the optics during rain and adverse weather.

Weatherproof design

The riflescope is filled with nitrogen, which prevents the inside of the lense from fogging up and obstructing your view during abrupt changes in temperature.

Premium recoil-resistant optics

This premium riflescope can withstand recoil forces of up to 1000 grams, equivalent to a Magnum caliber.

Shows your target in the right light

In general, larger tube diameters provide better light transmission. Featuring a tube diameter of 30 mm, this scope lets in plenty of light to render your target clearly.

Nitrogen filling

The temperature can change rapidly when you’re out in the wild. To prevent the lenses from fogging up on the inside and obstructing your view, the optics are filled with nitrogen.

Zero stop

This riflescope is equipped with a zero stop function so that you can readjust the optics, e.g. due to a change in the wind conditions. With a correctly configured zero stop, you can return to the zero position without conducting a visual check. The zero stop prevents you from going below the zero position.
