Glass

The optics in the ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 8×56 binoculars are made from premium ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass, which allows you to observe your surroundings in stunning resolution and colour. The prisms are made from high-performance BaK-4 glass.

Coating

The ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP 8×56 binoculars feature a cutting-edge PXA phase coating, which significantly improves the brightness and contrast. They also have an HR metal prism coating, which increases the light transmission for even brighter images.

Sturdy, weatherproof and user-friendly

Just like every model in the ALPEN OPTICS Apex XP series, the 8×56 binoculars are suitable for use in adverse weather. In addition to a waterproof housing that prevents water from entering the optics, they also feature a nitrogen filling that stops the inside of the lenses from fogging up. Ideal for long tours: weighing just 1042 grams, the binoculars are relatively lightweight for a 56 mm model.

Unlike the standard BK-7, the optics are made from BaK-4 glass (barium crown glass) that produces even sharper and brighter images. The high-quality BaK-4 glass optics are used in all ALPEN Optics products.

More light for clearer images

The optics are fully coated with a premium multi-layer coating, which increases the light transmission to up to 95% to produce stunningly bright images.

Weatherproof design

The binoculars are filled with nitrogen, which prevents the inside of the lenses from fogging up and obstructing your view during abrupt changes in temperature.

WaterTight design

Thanks to the waterproof housing that prevents liquids from reaching the inside of the optics, you don’t need to worry about heavy rain or dropping the riflescope in a puddle.

Easily adjustable for glasses wearers

Thanks to the twist-up eyecups, the design is also suitable for people who wear glasses. The distance between your eyes and the lenses can be easily adjusted to allow you to see the complete field of view.

Fine tune to your vision

The built-in dioptre adjustment allows you to quickly adjust the optics to your vision and compensate for differences between your left and right eyes.
